Once you're done speaking to Jacob, grab the last of Wilson's logs.
If you don't order Jacob to his biotic powers, the mechs will keep coming. After your conversation, get Jacob to Pull the three mechs. Listen to another one of Wilson's logs before meeting up with Jacob. Head up the stairs and take a U-turn before going through the door.
